Backup Policy Overview
We back up your entire WordPress site, including:
- Your database (posts, pages, users, forms, settings)
- Your site files (themes, plugins, uploads, and media)
This ensures we can restore your site exactly as it was at any point in time.
How often are backups taken?
Database backups: Daily
The database changes most often, so we capture it every 24 hours.
File backups: Weekly + Daily Incremental
- A full backup of all files runs once per week.
- Incremental backups run daily to capture any changes.
How long are backups stored?
- Database backups: 14 days
- Full file backups: 3 weekly versions
- Incremental backups: 12 weeks of snapshots
Where are my backups stored?
All backups are stored securely off-site:
- Primary: Google Drive
- Optional High Availability: Amazon S3
Backups are never stored only on your hosting server.
Are my backups secure?
- Encrypted at rest and in transit by the cloud provider
- Access restricted by secure API tokens
- Automatic cleanup of old archives
- Regular restoration checks to ensure backups work
What happens if something breaks?
If a plugin, theme, update, or server issue causes a problem, we can:
